Adults seeking to receive Baptism, First Reconciliation or First Holy Communion are encouraged to register for our RCIA program.

SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY

Couples planning a wedding are advised to contact the Rectory a minimum of nine months before the wedding date to allow sufficient time for the process and the preparation for marriage.

You may register for the Diocesan Marriage Preparation Workshop Pre-Cana.


SACRAMENT OF HOLY ORDERS

HOSPITALS

The Priests of the parish regularly visit St. Vincent Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital. Please be sure to specify that you are a member of St. Theresa Parish when you are admitted so that your name will appear in the proper place in the hospital’s clergy record.


NURSING HOMES

Parish Priests visit Stern Village on the 2nd Friday of each Month at 1:30 PM. They visit Maefair Health Care Center on the 4th Thursday of every month at 2:30 PM.

Deacon Communion Services are celebrated at 10:30am every Sunday at Middlebrook and 10:30am on the first three Sunday’s monthly at Maefair.


PASTORAL CARE

Please call the rectory if you know of someone who is unable to come to church and would like a visit from a member of our Health Care Ministry team. This can include those who are home-bound, as well as those in a hospital or nursing home. Due to privacy laws, health care facilities are no longer permitted to notify a church when a parishioner is admitted.


FUNERALS 

The date and time for a funeral are arranged through your funeral director. Families are encouraged to ask the help of our Priests in choosing appropriate Scripture readings and music for the funeral Mass.
