CONFIGURED PARKING

The parking lot will be set up with cones & horses to direct cars into artificial lanes.  We optimized configuration for 100+ cars to attend Mass while following directives of the diocese. As the priest will be walking through the parking lot, there is no need for handicap parking.

FOR AN URGENT NEED DURING MASS

FOR ALL CASES OF MEDICAL EMERGENCY CALL 911 FIRST. Otherwise, turn on your hazard lights, roll down your window (face mask on) & signal a volunteer, who if necessary will assist you in exiting.

ARRIVAL

Circular Church driveway entrance will be closed. Traffic must enter through Rosemond Terrace & Main Street, or Rosemond Terrace from Plumb Street.

AUDIO

Tune into 90.9 FM on your car radio upon arrival. We will broadcast there. If you have an older car, please run it intermittently to preserve the battery.

FACE MASKS

Face masks that cover both the nose and mouth are required for the faithful in all public worship except for those who attend Mass in their parked car and do not exit the vehicle for the reception of Holy Communion. They should be used if your window is rolled down or you exit your vehicle for the reception of Holy Communion (as outlined). Use of a face mask is not required by any person who by using it, will act contrary to his or her health or safety due to a medical condition.

OFFERATORY

The offertory collection will occur during opening announcements, directions will be given onsite.

HOLY COMMUNION

If communion is distributed, listen carefully for the priest’s instructions. Diocesan directives dictate a maximum of 50 people outside their cars at once. Anyone lowering their window or exiting their car is required to wear a face mask. Everyone will be directed by a volunteer to exit their cars from the same side. The priest will come, from a 6 foot distance say Body of Christ, the communicant responds Amen and steps forward to receive.  Just before receiving Holy Communion, remove the mask and accept the Eucharist either on the hands or on the tongue.  Should there be any contact of the priest’s hand to the communicant, the priest will have alcohol to immediately sterilize his hands before continuing. Visitors, particularly those in a high-risk category may also chose to remain in their vehicles and make an act of Spiritual Communion during distribution of Holy Communion.

EXITING THE PARKING LOT AFTER MASS

Because of the parking dynamic, please await signals from volunteers to exit immediately following Mass.  DO NOT BEGIN TO EXIT WITHOUT A SIGNAL FROM VOLUNTEERS.  There will be one exit for cars towards the back, and one for cars more up front.

NO RESTROOM ACCESS

We are required to close the church during outdoor Mass. Please be advised there will be no access to public restrooms.

HOMEBOUND AND OFFSITE ATTENDANCE

Dispensation from Sunday Mass Obligation has been extended. If you have any issue of illness, or have been around someone who has been ill, per CDC guidelines, seek proper medical attention, quarantine for 14 days, and please stay home. You will receive many graces by doing a Spiritual Communion. We will livestream Saturday 4:30PM outdoor Mass and Sunday 9:00AM indoor Mass.
