Summer 2021
LETTER TO FAMILIES

We hope this letter finds you all healthy, safe, and enjoying summer. Thank you for your patience and courage during the past year.

As of June 1st, we are planning to have all our religious ed classes in the school classrooms as well as two other buildings: the Parish Center (old convent) and the finished lower level of the Rectory.

Details for protocol are continually changing even now, but please be assured that a safe, clean learning environment is the utmost priority. We will give you the latest update just before classes begin in September.

  • So, no more remote learning and no more Zoom classes, because even more important than cleanliness, are the positive effects of children’s socialization in a God-centered community, and bringing our families back to Christ’s church as He ordained it. This is the priority. A well-known Cardinal recently wrote, “We must return to the Eucharist, because the Catholic Christian life cannot be sustained without the Holy Eucharist.” We must get back to attending Mass in church and not let our fear of Covid and death keep us from the truth: that the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist is what our faith is all about.
  • Classes are forming, but we do need more catechists. Please let us know if you are interested in teaching a class this year and if you have a grade preference. No experience is necessary. We will hold training classes during the summer months.
  • Please feel free to reach out at any time with questions or concerns. Email us or call 203-261-4706.

Thank you and continued blessings for a safe and happy summer!

Our Mission at Saint Theresa Religious Education is to assist parents, as primary educators, in fulfilling the promises you made at your child’s Baptism. You accepted the obligation to nurture your child in the Catholic Faith and help prepare and participate in the Sacramental life of the Church. As partners in this mission our goal is to help draw families into a deeper relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
